We had higher ambitions: Playlists that feel personal to you, playlists you can interact with emotionally, and that adapt to your taste and mood, as well as the changes to the catalogue.

So we came up with the idea of the interactive playlist — the moodagent. We constructed the ideal music data model capable of expressing all of the essential music characteristics — and then built an intelligent, flexible system around it. Our team of expert musicologists continued to perfect this secret recipe and they still do , while teaching a machine learning system to recognize and apply these patented processes on a much bigger scale.

Many years and versions later, we had a solution that worked for, literally, every piece of music. Moodagent is a playlist-based service that takes the idea of moods to provide a stream of music they craft to suit your needs in that place of time. You can then reactivate that specific moodagent at any time and either let it play or adapt it. The app presents keen listeners with four mood sliders that they can adjust to represent how sensual, tender, happy, and angry the feel.

Then the interactive playlists begins and can be adjusted by mood as you listen. Of course you can still search for specific artists and songs, and when you do play them a moodagent will be created based on them. Again, the playlist created is entirely customisable down to each individual track in the queue.
