Changes over the years with the inclusion of Arena competitions that change every few days and daily challenges, along with the continuous addition of new plants helps to keep things fresh, fun and engaging. I rarely leave reviews anywhere, but a relatively recent glitch has me writing one now. It has to do with playing Arena challenges. Every so often but often enough that this is really becoming an issue , right in the middle of the game, the app just shuts down and kicks me off of the platform.
And what ends up happening then is I lose the gauntlet required to play that game, and also the satisfaction of knowing whether or not I was actually going to win or not. Over time, those small rip offs add up, you know? And the overall effect is…. I wish the developers would address this bug. Then this game would have my full-throated endorsement of a true 5 star game without the caveat in the title. I am writing this review not to only tell you that the game is good, but there are also some issues.
There is one bug that makes it so that Crazy Dave and Penny will talk about the travel log every time I go into a world. Now the micro-transactions. I find these in many mobile games, and that does include this one.
I would usually ignore it and just play the game without it. So I would at least want you to make some features more accessible, or maybe you could pay gems or coins to rent one of those plants to play with in an actual level, just like you can with the extra seed slots. Hello, smarty plants! As always, thanks for playing. PvZ was one of the first games I ever played, I have beaten it on several Acadians with each play through being just as enjoyable as the last, but when EA bought pop-cap years ago, this experience changed so drastically that I can barley recognize it at all.
First of all, the ads. Ads cover almost every corner of PvZ, you want a power-up, ad. Second of all, bull crap micro transactions. After beating the adventure mode, you will have a very minimal amount of gameplay to experience because the mini games and upgrades are so dam expensive.
The only way you would probably be able to get all the content is spending a minimum of around ten dollars. You could grind levels over and over again to eventually get some reasonable amount of income to buy upgrades but this could take hours open ours of repetitive grinding to achieve.
EA ruined a timeless masterpiece for the feeding of the own greed and I am very disappointed of what they have done to this classic title But enough of that.
Basically, I was on a file that had not yet unlocked Survival, then I went to my completed file, and Survival was still locked! To fix this glitch, I had to close the game and start it back up again. There was also this other one where I tried to watch an ad to get a free rake, and then the game crashed! Other than that and the ads which is a whole other topic I think this game is really good. Pvz is my childhood and is my favorite game series of all time.
It would be a 5 star but there a couple things that stop it from being a 5 star. First of all, after you beat a level, why does it take you back to the main menu. It kind of ruins part of the excitement for some reason.
