Discussion in ' Bowhunting Talk ' started by Turkeysniper , Nov 13, Whick slick trick broadhead is best? Ive decided to use slick tricks next year. Im shooting a hoyt charger at 60".
Which would be best for me? Turkeysniper , Nov 13, The one that double lungs the deer you're shooting. Honestly all their fixed versions are great. I prefer the regular or the magnum with the steel ferrule trophy tip style.
I personally shoot the magnums but wouldn't hesitate to shoot any of there offerings. Im also usung gt expeditin hunters at spine should i get or grain. Yeah i dont have a scale to get the weight of my arrows they are between inches long tho amd maybe between grains idk just guessing tho but in that area.
Much like the original SlickTrick designs, the SS3 is an evolved head that flies like no other. With a super short, machined single-piece design, the SS3 is another SlickTrick broadhead that does it all. Again and again. The SS3 includes a proven mix of geometry and weight for a laser-like Assailant Hybrid Broadhead.
The Assailant - only from SlickTrick - features the popular ViperTrick series field-proven chisel-style tip. Building on the successful profile RaptorTrick Mechanical Broadhead.
You asked for it. You got it. A new grain mechanical broadhead for those that want a small profile head in flight. A broadhead that delivers a full two inches of devastation on contact. The RaptorTrick builds on the durability of SlickTrick's proven all-steel design. It also brings the Select Options. ViperTrick Value Pack 4 Pack. A deep penetrating cut-on-contact design with strength and durability at the forefront of its maxims; then married with all the laser-like flight characteristics you have come to expect from a Slick Trick.
The only thing that could be better is a slightly narrower or more relaxed bleeder blade angle. Resharpen replaceable blades? As I mentioned in the broadhead gear guide the ability to resharpen your broadhead on the arrow is really important. The stainless steel ferrule runs the entire length of the head and is actually the first part of the head to impact a target.
As an aside, that design also means that the gr head is stronger than the gr version. I have noticed Axis deer the twitchiest big game animal on the planet were able to detect the head before it got to them. A blister pack of 4 replacement blades is small enough to throw in your backpack in case you want backups.
You can even put in a ferrule with no blades in as well if you truly want another option. So many options. Is that worth the cost? Would I buy them? I saw close up pic a couple days ago of the Cutthroat broadhead and it looks like a very thick HD cut on contact point. The price point is slightly better than that of the Day 6 and Iron Will broadheads. I bought some of the Quad Exodus blades a while back as they looked real stout but I made the mistake of buying the swept wing version which is probably legal in my home state but likely not in some western states.
